Upon graduating high school Michael joined the coast guard and served our country for 5 years as a machinery technician. From there he went on to train as a welder. After mastering his skills he went on to produce clams and oysters. During that time he designed and built many tools for the job at hand and quickly realized he loved fabricating and decided to start his own business doing so. He built Seaduce from the ground up for over 36 years and has gained a vast amount of knowledge in the process. Mike has designed and developed many boats and barges for the purpose of restoring the shoreline and oyster habitat throughout the Chesapeake Bay. In that time he also became an FAA approved helicopter pilot and received training in crop dusting. One of Mikes favorite things to do is teach and share his knowledge. He loves what he does and it shows in his work.
Mike Jr. has grown up working alongside of his father and training with him since he was about 10 years old. He has done everything form running the boat to replenish oyster shell to welding and construction work. He joined the Air Force in 2012 and was active duty for 3 years and continues to this day in the reserves. He is a huge asset to us here at Seaduce and we are proud to have him on our team.
